Ever Smelled Dead Crickets . . .

By senoff.michael@gmail.com On June 24, 2015 No Comments

Did you ever hear the story about my kid’s pet gecko named Ace?

After buying Ace the gecko, there was something we soon learned to be a real pain in the rumpus.

And that was buying him crickets to eat every three or four days.

To keep the bugger alive, I’d have to drive all the way to the pet store.

Then, to take up more time, they make you walk to the very back of the store where the crickets are.

Then the lines . . .

And then, getting help . . .

The wait could be 20 minutes before you got out of the store.

You can’t stock up on crickets either.

Because they’ll die after a few days.

And they stink too.

Have you ever smelled dead crickets?

Anyway . . .

Wednesday morning is garbage day for the Senoff house.

Every Tuesday evening, I roll the trash cans out to the street curb.

And when I pull the cans away from their resting place, I would see crickets hopping around.

So . . .

I got to thinking . .

What the heck am I schlepping to the pet store and paying for crickets when I can catch them my self and for free?

So now, at 8 PM ,for the last five weeks, my wife, my kids and I go out to the front of the house to catch crickets.

And every time we’ve been able catch enough crickets for our scaley friend.

Anyway, this little cricket story is a metaphor for using what’s right under your nose.

Like using the power of your own voice to do audio interviews.

Or.

Like using your expertise from your job to start selling consulting services.

Or . .

Using a hobby you love to make a few bucks in a part time biz.

PS. Crickets are hopping all around you this very moment.

You just need take some time, look a little closer, bend down and simply pick them up.

PPS. Our local Petco store now is the only Petco store that has crickets in the front AND the back of the store.

Have a great weekend!

Tom – THE Spark To My Quest . . .

By senoff.michael@gmail.com On May 4, 2015 No Comments

When I first rolled up and into San Diego, I met a man that changed my life.

His name was Tom.

I was going to set the world on fire selling Nuskin, an MLM deal I was involved in.

I was referred and told to call on Tom to sell him on my deal.

I was clueless about most everything.

Tom lived alone in the back of his Encinitas California print shop.

He came to the door in white cotton cloves.

He told me that he had burned his hands from the use of printing chemicals over the years.

He had a high pitched voice.

He was awkward.

He was divorced and estranged from his five children.

And we become friends.

Tom was my first mentor to introduce me to the fun and wonder of busing

Stuff I had not understood or been exposed to before.

( and this was a time before the internet )

This man was uber intelligent and kind.

He directed me to the masters of selling like Elmer Wheeler, Fred Herman and Napoliam Hill.

We were friends for 8 years until he died due to heart failure.

On my wedding day, he gave me two framed pieces of art.

Each frame was a beautiful reproduction of an Egyptian hieroglyphic.

Each are hanging on my office wall.

He told me that when I looked at this art it was to remind me to build something great.

Build something that would live after I was gone.

And I’ve never forgotten this gift.

And every time I look at this art, it reminds me of Tom and my quest.

You too can build something great.

And I hope this story will be THE spark to YOUR quest.

PPS. One of my subscribers asked me “what else did Tom teach you about selling?”

He would tell me when selling to ALWAYS look for the insecurity of your prospect.

He also drilled into my head these sayings

Emotion Plus Emotion = Problem

Never make a decision when you are emotional.

Take a day or two before you say yes.

And

Paper For Paper.

If you buy something get a receipt.

If you make a deal, get it in writing on paper.

I was only dating my now wife then but he would always ask about her and ask me if I was being nice to her.

He told me woman are funny and you have to really go out of your way to be nice.

He told me to always work for a residual.

Where you make the sale once and you get paid ongoing.

He told me when selling, always sell more than one thing.

So for example, I was installing door viewers in homes.

He told me I need to sell window locks and door knocker too.

He was the first to explain the up sell and that the best time to sell was after the first sale.

He was a real positive influence for me.

I am lucky to have met him.

He is missed.

The Truth Behind The Making Of Think and Grow Rich . . .

By senoff.michael@gmail.com On February 24, 2015 No Comments

Here’s a something old but good.

I recorded this interview a long time ago when I was just a wee little boy.

There’s some interesting bits on how the internet got born in this one.

It’s and interview with with a Mr. Ted Ciuba, the true Internet pioneer.

And it’s called . . .

How To Think And Grow Rich In Today’s Society

When Ted Ciuba made his first online sale in 1994, he knew he could never go back to being a professor at a California State university.

So he immediately quit his job and has never looked back.

Today, Ted is not only considered a pioneer in the online marketing but also the go-to guru in his field.

So in this interview, I grill Ted on the finer points of information marketing.

At the time of this interview, Ted has written a book called The New Think And Grow Rich, so we also go over how he updated that Napoleon Hill classic.

And in this interview, you’ll hear. . .

* How Ted tests price and makes his Internet sales

* Everything you should know about Napoleon Hill

* How to use the law of attraction to achieve success

* How to get public domain information products

* Best method for generating sales – referrals or JVs or email

* Why writing only e-books can be costing you money

* Best ways to generate leads on the Internet

* How to make a difference in your life by writing your goals down

* Tips for starting out with absolutely nothing

Ted Ciuba was and may still be an Internet marketing giant.

And according to him, the first step to success is creating an image of achievement.

Contact me by email and I’ll send you the link.

Then, grab yo-self an ice cold beer and sit back and listen to the strategies Ted uses to think and grow rich and learn how you can use them too.

You can fly.

PMS. I won’t be able to send you the link for about two hour because I have to go and do my blubber busting workout.

PTS. Make sure you check out my interviews with the Late Melvin Powers and learn how Melvin was able to sell millions and millions of the original Think and Grow Rick book.
