Who the hell knew?
When would the lights come back on?
I was watching the movie “The Wrestler” on my battery powered laptop when my wife texted . . .
“Go And Get a Generator.”
I got in my car and drove to the local Ace Hardware Store.
They were closed.
The traffic was uncharacteristically con-jested.
It would’ve taken me hours to get to the Home Depot on Genesee.
Then, I remembered about Kraigan Auto Parts.
They have generators!
This one was right by our home.
I approached the store and saw two workers standing in side looking out.
I asked through the locked doors if they had any generators?
They said “yes” but “You Must Have Cash”.
I said that I did and they unlocked and opened the front doors to the store.
They would only take one customer at a time.
The others without cash waited outside for the power to return.
They had two gas generators in stock.

I got the generator home, unpacked and running.
Was able to power the fridge and the freezer.
We had enough gas to run the generator for two days.
And at 1:30 AM that night, power was back.
Ok . . .
Not the emergency I thought.

Only 13 years old
The JJ twins from across the street came over to see if I had any way for them to earn some fast money.
They said their Dad told them if they can go out and make some money he would help pay for the trip to Florida for MineCon 2013 (initially referred to as MinecraftCon).
It’s an annual Minecraft convention held by Mojang.
I went inside and printed out a flyer that they can take and put on doors in the neighborhood.
