The Sales Brigade Interview . . .

I’ve recovered from a trade show in Long Beach and I am back to working out again.

All work and no exercise make Michael a Fat Boy.

So I downloaded one of my classic recordings on selling to make my weighted hands workout fly by during my blubber burning workout.

It was my 2006 Tommy Hopkins interview.

I originally published this interview to help my HMA Marketing Consultants land their first paying clients fast.

And apparently it’s working.

But for some reason, listening to Tom’s interview again was even more helpful this time around.

I was so impressed with it’s content, I sent the link over to Ben Gay the III.

In it, Tom Hopkins shares a personal story about how he was influenced by the great,late, master sales trainer, J. Douglas Edwards.

This is the same man that influenced Ben Gay.

As a child, Bill Bartmann knew he was poor.

And you can learn something important about money from his story.

Here’s how he describes it . . .

“I’m one of eight kids and my mom cleaned other people’s houses for a living.

My dad was a janitor.

Both my parents were honorable and hardworking people that worked every day of their life.

The bad news was, they didn’t make enough money to feed all ten of us.

So we got by on hand outs from Catholic charities, Salvation Army and Welfare.

I remember almost every holiday the Salvation Army people would show up at our doorstep with one of those food baskets.

So, you welcomed it, and wanted it, and really appreciated getting it.

When you knew that your parents couldn’t buy you the things other kids in the neighborhood had like a bicycle, clothing or food, you knew something was different.

I don’t ever remember even having a birthday party.”
