Conton Candy and You . .
I had a hard time sleeping last night.
I woke up, turned my head, looked at the clock and it was 4:15 AM.
I got out of bed.
I walked to my office.
( Down the hall and to the left 37 feet from my bed.)
I sent out some documents to my accountant for my 2008 taxes.
And I finally I became sleepy again.
My wife was getting ready for work and I crawled back into bed.
It was 6:00 AM
I had an hour before my kids were going to wake up.
And I slowly drifted off to a deep peaceful sleep.
I was then awoken by the sweetest sounding little voice.
I thought I was dreaming.
This voice was so sweet and pure.
It reminded me of pink cotton candy…
My six year old son Alan whispering into my ear this..
“Dad, I wish we were still at the fair, so I could get a candied
apple.”
Alan’s bottom tooth was loose.
And he explained to me that he wanted a candied apple so he could
get his bottom tooth stuck in the candied part of the apple so it
would fall out.
He knew once his tooth came out, our family tooth fairy, Phat
Agnes, would come bring him money.
This sweet little story is a metaphor for one of my consulting
students named Jake.
Jake does not have the money to get the HMA system.
He is stuck because he thinks the money for the system is what will
get him started.
But if Jake would use all the free consulting interviews from this

Jake will become unstuck.

Waking up to my son’s sweet little voice this morning was the
greatest sound a dad could ever hear in the morning.
