Greetings From Zoltar . . .
The Fountain Of Pain . . .
I battle with my weight.
I always have and always will.
And my secret weapon to win this battle over the years has been
running.
There is nothing like running to melt that ugly fat away.
So when my pants start getting tight, I turn up the miles.
And today, after dropping my kids off for camp, I headed down to
the San Diego Bay.
It’s about the only place you can run for miles on grass.
My plan was to run for 50 minutes.
This morning was very hot, even at 9:00 AM.
We are in a heat wave.
And this one will be the hottest, prolonged heat wave of our
summer.
About 30 minutes into my run I was busted.
My mouth felt like cotton balls and I was dripping in sweat.
I was cramping and I needed water.
There was a city water fountain ahead.
This city fountain was indestructible and made out of steel.
To release the water, I had to push a silver round metal button
that was mounted on the base of the fountain.
This button was facing directly into the hot summer San Diego sun.
I pressed the button with my thumb and water came out.
But only for a second.
This button was burning hot and I had to let go.
I pressed the button and held it in again and drank up the water
as fast as I could until I could bare no more pain.
And I let go again.
This was truly the fountain of pain.
So I looked around for something to mask the pain.
Down at my feet I found a tiny wood chip.
I placed the wood chip on the hot button and pressed the chip to
get all the water I could drink without any pain.
And I finished my run and went home.
I Recently ( seven days ago ) checked in with some of the new HMA
Consultants to see how things were going for them.
There using the HMA System to mask some of the pain in their lives.
And here are some of their stories of how they are getting the
water.
Note: I have removed their full names but I assure you these are
all real HMA consultants.
Here we go…
Michael
It is going OK. I feel good about the future of my HMA business.
So far, I have been working hard on my FT computer consulting
business and trying to find time to transition into the HMA
business.
My first HMA client has been good for me experience wise. He is
sticking with me even though he has not seen any results.
I took a long time to get him past step one. We are testing a few
USPs right now. I spent a lot more hours on step 1 than I thought
it would take but feel that I learned a heck of a lot.
I know I can streamline my processes now. No success stories for
you yet but I have 3 more clients that are close to starting.
I have my website up. I have a short video. I did a free workshop
and captured it on audio. More progress to come.
I listened to the HMA conference call part 1 so far.
It was helpful. Talk soon

Michael,
You’re the man! Thanks for being a friend.
BY THE WAY .. I just signed my first consulting client on
Tuesday!!! It’s a small air filter business with approx $200,000 in
revenue.
I signed him up for a USP project – $995! Four weekly payments of
$250 – The first $250 check is already in my wallet.
Regards,
Eric B.

Hi Michael,
I’m doing real well thank you. I’ve only signed up the one (solar
company) customer, got there check last week. I still have the
wireless store promising to go ahead in the next couple of weeks.
I’ve done 4 other opp-analyses and am only hoping for one out of
those.
I am scheduled to speak at a couple of Rotary meetings, an SCORE
workshop, a local radio show, a locally run Web TV show. Also I
converted the virtual office center I was managing into a “Small
Business Incubator” called the Business Excellence Center.
And that got me some good press and I was appointed onto the local
Economic Development Board. Which will help my “obvious expert”
plans!!!
I am also trying to hire a tele-sales rep to book appointments and
a “Cash-Cow style seminar for late September.
That was a great call and I had just picked up my first consulting
check for $2500 on the same day. I’m sort of glad it is slow and a
lot of business owners are busy here with the summer season. It is
really giving me the breathing room and prep time to
start properly and professionally.
I didn’t get to mention but I went out on a sales job interview at
my wife’s insistence and I ended up pitching the guy on his USP and
Website. (He was a putz and I wouldn’t have taken the job anyway.)
I figured what the hell!
PS: you guys really have the training and knowledge base (expert
interviews) down pat. I haven’t had any questions that I haven’t
been able to find answers to on the site. I was having a hard time
coming up with a question for Richard!!! Please don’t sell
anymore HMA packages in NJ, I really like being the expert around
here!! (Just kidding!!! I know the drill )
My ground swell is definitely building and I am looking to really
kick ass in the Fall! My goal is 4 clients for September, and 20
people at my web seminar.
I love being an HMA consultant.
Thanks again,
Jamie

Hi Michael
I’m going great, taking my time to digest all the HMA material.
My expertise is in copywriting and website makeovers.
So what I’m thinking is that in the short term I’m going to combine
the USP/implementation step into my website makeover package.
Long term I want to become more of a marketing consultant and less
of a copywriter and deliver the core 4.
Michael, I’ve been meaning to write you for a while now to thank
you for being such an inspiration to me.
I remember hearing on the first audio of yours that I ever listened
to about how when your child was sick you decided to create a
business so you could be close to him.
Hearing that really gave me encouragement to continue with my
copywriting business.
And now I have a son of my own, I’m even more determined to become
a successful marketing consultant.
So thanks! And I really appreciate you generously sharing so much
valuable information for free.
I have a marketing degree from one of Australia’s best business
schools. When I was studying tertiary education was free. But now
you would have to pay around $60,000 to get that degree.
I can say, in all honesty, that you would learn more about
marketing listening to all the audios on your site than doing a
3-year degree.
So thanks again.
I hope you’re well and happy
Charles

Hi Michael:
Thanks for asking. I am doing well. I am going thorough the HMA
training videos 4 to 6 hours a week. It started a little slow
because I have studied Jay Abraham in depth, but once Richard
started talking about how to sell the consulting it got very
interesting. I like his practical step by step system.
Warmest Regards
AJ

Michael,it is going very well.
I told you I needed something to energize myself and it is working.
I closed my first real deal on a referral from an accountant
yesterday.
I have two appointments next week -one with an existing client
(your
suggestion) and another referral from a different accountant.
I have only scratched the surface of the materials so far, but my
confidence more than compensates. I will be the poster child for
“It is never too late to shift gears” and it will all because of
you.
I thank you again.
Sincerely,
Richard

Hey Michael,
thanks for the note. I have signed an agreement with my first
client, I will meet with him again tomorrow to pick up the check
and start to work on creating his USP.
I’m pretty excited about this, I finally have clarity about where
I’m going and where it is I fit.
I thank you for presenting this opportunity to me.

Michael,
Slow, but sure. I can’t wait to get through this transition of
working full-time at my current position to where I can devote more
time to the marketing consulting business.
I’ve mentioned a farm chemical sales company that I was hoping to
work with. They do well over $20,000,000 in sales each year.
I just made an appointment with the owner to go through the
opportunity analysis on Sept. 1st. His business is growing fast,
because he is a low-price leader in his industry, and he is
creative.
He believes that his USP is his ability to deliver products at the
lowest prices.
They just sent out a mailing of 3,000, and have gotten back an
overwhelming response. So, being my first real case, I’m a little
nervous about how to charge for the various projects, and where I
might be the most helpful to him.
Thanks for asking,
Clay

Thanx for asking, Michael!
Things are going really well. After a dry spell of almost 5 years
in my software consulting business, I now have an ongoing client
that is providing a service to Stater Brothers out there in your
area. That’s a good thing.
But – the exciting thing is my marketing/business consulting
gig(s)! I have a client doing 7 or 8 projects with me.
And – since I have a lifetime of computer software knowledge and
Internet marketing knowledge, I’m helping her get a stronger
presence on line and helping to add an on line store on her site, as
well.
I’ve also started building relationships for joint-venturing
between the salon and two other local businesses.
This is exciting work for me, because I’m able to utilize
practically everything I know in working with Reflections.
So – again – thanx for asking, Michael! Things are Great!
Happily!

It’s kind of funny to say this, but the HMA System is like that
wood chip I found at my feet.

my self how can I use this as a tool to get what I want.
