The King’s Chair . . .

We’ve got a special chair in our home.

It’s called “The King’s Chair.”

It’s the chair at the head of our French antique farmhouse dining
room table.

This table sits on four early 19th century chestnut brown square
chamfered legs.

It’s facing East, towards the double door entrance to our home.

The Queen’s chair faces West, towards the kitchen window.

It’s a good chair too.

But for some reason, my eight year old son, Alan, always wants to
sit in The King’s Chair.

Most men don’t want to give up their all important King’s chair,
for any reason.

But I do .

Because it’s a good way for me to make my sons feel important.

And if you’ve been hogging your King’s Chair for too long, it may
be time to give it up for a while.
